If you have a compliment or concern about the service or treatment you received from your experience with Youth Diversion, we want to hear from you.

Clients, parents/guardians, victims and community partners have the right to share their concerns regarding the quality of services and programs provided at Youth Diversion. If you’ve had an encounter with a Youth Diversion staff that you think met or did not meet the high standards set for the Youth Justice profession, we want to hear from you.

To ensure that compliments and concerns raised by clients, parents/legal guardians, victims, or community partners are addressed in a timely and professional manner:

  • All complaints will be taken seriously and will be considered as private and confidential.
  • Employees are responsible to explain the complaints procedures to the complainant, be it a client, a victim, etc. when necessary. The complainant can be advised to contact the appropriate professional college when necessary.
  • A copy of the Compliments and Complaints Policy will be provided to any person on request.
  • Resolution of the concern needs to be as prompt as possible and acted upon quickly.

The ECDP embraces and is committed to open, honest, respectful and effective communication between agency providers, clients, parents/guardians, victims, and community partners as required.

SUBMIT A COMPLAINT

You may wish to file a formal compliment or complaint with Youth Diversion.  Management and or the Board of Directors will investigate a complaint if it relates to professional misconduct, incompetence or incapacity and is not frivolous, vexatious or an abuse of process.

In order to submit a compliment or complaint regarding a staff of Youth Diversion, please use the agency’s online compliments and complaint form.

A compliment or complaint may be submitted in writing and sent to the office, 1821 Provincial Rd., Windsor, ON N8W 5V7. You must provide your name, address and telephone number as well as the nature of the complaint, the name of the member and any other pertinent information.
